Private formulation development

Formulas that are yours, built on evidence.

We develop custom private formulations for brands that want performance they can explain, ingredients they can defend, and a formula that isn't sitting in a hundred other catalogues.

What we do

From first idea to a formula you own the story of.

One focused team covering the technical work that sits between a concept and a product you're proud to launch.

01

Custom formulation

New formulas written from scratch to your target profile: texture, sensorial feel, claims, positioning, price point and ingredient philosophy.

02

Reformulation

Already have a product? We improve stability, feel or performance, swap ingredients you want gone, or rework it to fit new regulations or claims.

03

Ingredient strategy

Evidence-led selection of actives, preservation systems and delivery approaches, with the reasoning written down in plain language.

04

Stability & safety planning

A testing plan matched to your product type and markets, coordinated with accredited laboratories, so you launch with data rather than hope.

05

Regulatory-aware documentation

Formula records, ingredient rationale and supporting information organised to help your safety assessor and regulatory partners do their jobs.

06

Scale-up support

Technical hand-off and troubleshooting as your formula moves from lab bench to pilot batch and production with your chosen manufacturer.

How it works

A clear path from brief to batch.

No black box. You see what's being made, why, and what comes next at every stage.

Brief

Tell us about your brand, customer, product type, markets and the claims you hope to make.

Our form guides you through it. If you only have a rough idea, that's fine, we'll help you sharpen it.

Concept

We propose a formulation direction and ingredient strategy.

You get a written outline covering texture, key ingredients, what each does, and any trade-offs, before any bench work begins.

Prototype

Lab prototypes are made and refined against your target.

We iterate on feel, performance and stability with your feedback guiding every round.

Validate

We plan and coordinate the testing your product and markets call for.

Results feed back into the formula, and documentation is assembled for your safety and regulatory partners.

Scale

The final formula and technical documentation are handed over.

We support the transfer to your manufacturer and stay available for troubleshooting through first production runs.

The difference

Private formulation, not a private label catalogue.

Many providers let you pick from existing bases and add your logo. That's a fine route for some brands. We exist for the ones who want more.

Our principles

Science first. Claims second.

Evidence over buzzwords

We favour ingredients and concentrations with credible supporting data, and we're upfront about where evidence is strong, limited or mixed.

Honest claims

We help you position products in ways your formula and testing can actually support, protecting your customers and your brand.

Formulate for stability

A beautiful prototype that fails in six months isn't a product. Preservation, packaging compatibility and real-world conditions are considered from day one.

Plain-language transparency

You'll understand what's in your formula and why. That's what lets you answer customers, retailers and regulators with confidence.

FAQ

Good questions to ask any formulator.

Who owns the formula?

Ownership and usage terms are agreed in writing before development begins, so there are no surprises later. Tell us what you need in your brief and we'll cover it in our proposal.

Do you manufacture the product?

Our focus is formulation development and technical support. We can support transfer to a manufacturer of your choice and help you brief and evaluate them.

Can you work from a rough idea?

Yes. Many brands start with a reference product, a customer problem or a feeling they want the product to deliver. We'll help turn that into a defined brief.

Can you reformulate an existing product?

Yes. Common reasons include improving stability or feel, removing specific ingredients, adjusting cost or meeting new market requirements.

Which markets do you formulate for?

Tell us where you plan to sell. Requirements differ between regions, so we build the formulation approach and documentation around your target markets, and your own regulatory or safety assessor makes final compliance decisions.

What do you need to give me a proposal?

Product type, target customer, desired claims, markets, any must-have or must-avoid ingredients, packaging ideas and a rough timeline. The brief form below covers all of it.
